For now all hints point to Bradley Horowitz' tweet, who welcomed Poole by posting a tweet (as shown above). So for now it seems like Poole will be joining Google's Photos and Streams team but his designation still remains unknown.

The news broke out from Chris Poole's personal blog where the founder mentioned how he was inspired by Google and how the search giant is committed to tackling the world's most interesting problems.

"Today I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined Google.

When meeting with current and former Googlers, I continually find myself drawn to their intelligence, passion, and enthusiasm — as well as a universal desire to share it with others. I’m also impressed by Google’s commitment to enabling these same talented people to tackle some of the world’s most interesting and important problems.

I can’t wait to contribute my own experience from a dozen years of building online communities, and to begin the next chapter of my career at such an incredible company."

Business Insider has confirmed that Chris Poole will be working with Horowitz' team for now.

Poole started 4chan when he was 15 back in 2003 and left the company in 2015. 4chan became the center of attention after the Apple iCloud hack as the images were first posted at the online forum.
