2K Games has released a new game for iOS devices. Developed by Lucid Games, 2K Drive is currently available on the App Store for Rs 390. The development team was founded by veterans of the racing genre, having previously worked on games like Blur and the Project Gotham Racing series.
2K Drive is a racing simulator and features licensed as well as original cars, along with iconic race tracks and an integrated feed to the latest car-related news. It also has a unique “RaceFace” feature which lets players take a picture of themselves that can then be used as the face of the in-game driver. This can then be seen while playing multiplayer.
*Insert clever pun on racing here*
The game sports racing modes for both single player as well as multiplayer. It has more than 100 unique events and more than 25 tracks in five environments. There are more than 25 licensed cars to drive from companies including Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GM, Icon, Local Motors, Mazda, McLaren, Nissan and So-Cal.
It has been geared specifically towards automobile enthusiasts and has community-centric features to help. Players can view videos and photo galleries from popular automobile websites such as Car & Driver, Road & Track and Autoblog.
“2K Drive was designed to offer the most comprehensive driving simulation experience in today’s mobile market,” said 2K boss Christoph Hartmann. “The game successfully combines the appeal of a premier console racing game with some of the leading automotive editorial content available on the Web, to create an all-inclusive entertainment hub for auto-enthusiasts.”
