1Password for Android gets revamped with new interface and updates

AgileBits' 1Password for Android now gets much-needed makeover. While the iOS app has been getting frequent updates, its Android counterpart was ignored for the longest time. Finally, the app has been revamped with a new look and performance improvements.

The app has finally shed its view-only clunky look for a more crisp look and flexible usage. The app now lets Android users generate passwords, edit passwords and even save new ones. If you use a particular password quite often, then simply mark it as favourite. You can also organise passwords into folders. Some more features include viewing attachments added from PC or Mac and a powerful search function, claims the developer.

For those not familiar with 1Password, it is a service that stores all passwords within a single app. Users can access them using a master password. It is pretty secure and brings premium features. However, for a limited period the developers are letting users access these features for free.

Until August 1, 1Passowrd will be available for free. However, after that one can access the read-only mode. To continue using the premium features users will have to make an in-app purchase. The developers haven’t disclosed the price yet.

With the new revamped app, 1password for Android is finally catching up with its iOS counterpart. Download it from the Google Play Store.
