What it’s about: F.E.A.R. Combat started off as the multiplayer component of Monolith’s epic first-person shooter ‘F.E.A.R.’. In 2006, the multiplayer component was released as a standalone free-to-play game. The game’s famous for its slow-motion deathmatches and team-deathmatches, where one player gets an injector that allows him to slow time down for everyone, while he happily frags the crap outta them!
Why it rocks: Straightforward, addictive, and loads of fun - that about sums up what F.E.A.R. Combat’s all about. In fact, it was so addictive that Nash and I would spend eons in office after work hours, driving nails into our virtual enemies’ skulls (and sometimes each others skull), pinning them to walls like lifeless towels. If you can bare with the slightly aged visuals (which still don’t look quite nice, by the way), and you love online shooters the way we do, you should definitely give F.E.A.R. Combat a shot!
