HTC Corporation, a Taiwanese company, headquartered in Taiwan. Founded in 1997, originally HTC started off as original design manufacturer and original equipment manufacturer. Designing and manufacturing laptop and computers were its primary business.  However, HTC soon entered in smartphone business also. HTC smartphones were based on Windows mobile and brew. The company has released its first commercial Android smartphone, HTC Dream, in 2008. Today, HTC is a manufacturer of both android and windows based devices. In early 2014, the company launched HTC Power by combining computing power at the fingertips of smartphone users. 'Power to Give' creates one of the world's largest supercomputers to advance research on various environmental issues. At Mobile world congress on February 2011, the GSM Association named HTC the 'Device Manufacturer of the year' in its global mobile awards. Also, in April 2011, HTC surpassed Nokia as the third-largest smartphone manufacturer by market share, after Apple and Samsung. HTC recently launched its Wildfire X in August 2019. HTC also released its first Crypto phone in 2019, focused on offering universal finance through bitcoin. HTC has also announced that it's crypto phone will be the first smartphone to support bitcoin.
