Honor is owned by Huawei technologies. Under Huawei consumer business group dual-brand strategy, Honor aims to provide handsets targeting young consumers, but it has expanded its portfolio to tablet computers and wearable technology as well. Founded in 2013, Honor delivers cost-effective smartphones and allows Huawei to compete with mid-range smartphone brands globally. Honor started to expand internationally in April 2014, launching the Honor 3C in Malaysia. , followed by Honor 6 in Europe. By 2015, Honor has grown to 74 countries, including India, Japan and Europe. In May 2019, Honor 20 series was released and won three awards from android authority as flagship specs with a midrange price. Honor is mostly an online brand contributor that sells mainly through online. However, some products are available to purchase at stores in select markets. Company’s strategy is to save money by selling it online and offer products at lower prices. With the help of this strategy and internet-based plan, Honor business model has achieved over 10 billion USD revenue in the last five years. Honor has now become the largest smartphones e-brand in China, as of the year 2019.
