Meta has rolled out a new optical forward pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses that support nearly all prescriptions. Moreover, the brand is also introducing new colors and lens options for Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley frames, along with advanced software updates like hands-free nutrition tracking and Meta AI WhatsApp summaries.

Prescription-Optimized AI Glasses

The aim of the new set of glasses is to serve users who rely on prescription glasses and all-day eyewear. To ensure that they add to your attire, Meta has introduced two unique designs: the Blayzer, a rectangular design available in standard and large sizes, and the Scriber, a more rounded frame style. a developing story, refresh for more updates.

The Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics and Ray-Ban Scriber Optics glasses feature overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and temple tips that can be adjusted by opticians, offering full adaptability to your face and a tailored fit. All of these new styles are up for pre-order, starting at $499 in the US, beginning today on Meta.com and Ray-Ban.com. Soon, these glasses will be available at optical retailers in the US and select international markets on April 14.

Meta Promises More AI Capabilities Rolling Out Soon

Meta promises to streamline nutrition tracking on its AI glasses. With a simple voice prompt or a photograph, you can log what you eat, and Meta AI will be able to extract key nutrition details and add them to your food log in the Meta AI application. The logs will be used to provide personalized insights and help you make healthier choices. This feature will be available for people aged over 18 in the US with Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses soon.

The wheel of innovation doesn’t seem to stop at Meta, as the brand has also promised to add hands-free WhatsApp summaries. All a user has to do is ask, “Hey Meta, catch me up on my messages,” for a concise group chat summary, or even ask specific details about the conversation on WhatsApp. The feature will be available soon in EAP for those with Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.

Meta has further ensured that Neural Handwriting will also be rolling out to every user in the coming few weeks, and it’s coming to iMessage as well. The feature will allow users to mimic writing on any surface and reply to messages silently without looking at their phone. Beyond that, Display Recording will soon allow users to combine their in-lens display interactions, their view of the world, and audio into a single, ready-to-share video.

Meta will also be adding a pedestrian navigation feature, expanding to every city across the US in May, helping buyers get turn-by-turn navigation right in their lens. Earlier this month, the brand included Instagram Reels, personalized Spotify shortcuts, and new glanceable widgets like reminders, weather, stocks, and calendar right on your screen.

New Colours and Lenses

The Gen 2 frames will now be available in Skyler in shiny transparent peach with brown transition lenses, Headliner in matte transparent peach with transitions, and Wayfarer in shiny transparent grey with transitions.

The Oakley Meta Vanguard and HSTN will be available in Vanguard Black with Prizm Black lenses, Vanguard White with Prizm Rose Gold lenses, Vanguard Black with Prizm Transitions Ember lenses, HSTN Black with Prizm Dark Golf lenses, and HSTN Light Curry with clear-to-brown transition lenses.
