Another day, another quad-core smartphone launch. The latest device is by Lava called Iris 458q and is available for Rs 8,999. The device comes with a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor and runs Android 4.2 version of Jelly Bean. The device has a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with FWVGA resolution. It comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. It also carries a front VGA camera for video calling and has a 2000 mAh battery. In terms of sensors it has a Proximity, Light & G Sensor. This is a 3G smartphone. The device has comes with pre-loaded apps such as WeChat, Ebook reader to name a few. The phone will be available across all major retail and online stores.
