The Huawei Mate XT boasts a dual-hinged design with a 6.4-inch OLED display when partially unfolded. The display can expand to a 10.2-inch tablet-like screen when fully opened, providing a resolution of 2,232 x 3,184 pixels. It also offers a flexible 7.9-inch configuration for more compact use. Remarkably, when fully expanded, the Mate XT is only 3.6mm thick, making it one of the slimmest devices available.

The smartphone’s construction features a dual-hinge mechanism that includes an inner hinge to handle compression forces and an outer hinge to manage tension forces. This design ensures smooth and stable folding, enhancing the device’s durability and user experience. Additionally, Huawei has incorporated an ultra-tough laminated structure and non-Newtonian fluid technology to further improve the device’s resilience.

While Huawei has not disclosed the exact details of the processor for the Mate XT Ultimate Edition, it is anticipated to use a variant of the Kirin 9000S chip, which powers the Mate 60 Pro+ flagship model. The Mate XT will run on HarmonyOS 4.2, Huawei’s latest operating system, promising a seamless and intuitive user interface.

The Mate XT features a sophisticated camera system with a 50MP primary rear camera, complemented by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens with 5.5x optical zoom. For selfies, the device includes an 8-megapixel front camera situated within a punch-hole cutout.

In terms of battery life, the Mate XT is equipped with a 5,600mAh silicon carbon battery, which is claimed to be the world’s thinnest battery used in a smartphone. The device supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring efficient and rapid power replenishment.
