How dancing at bus stop made UK woman Youtube sensation, got her stage role

Thirty-five-year-old Ellie Cole, of Eastleigh, England, became an internet sensation when a video of her dancing at the bus stop while waiting for her bus went viral on Youtube. Now, her fame has taken her a step further, she’s been offered a role in a stage play. [caption id=“attachment_1120507” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![A still from the Youtube video. But unbeknownst to her, she was being filmed, and the footage was then uploaded to Youtube with the Abba song ‘Dancing Queen’ overlaid on it despite the fact that Cole was actually jiving to Alesha Dixon’s “Knock Down” at the time. The video quickly racked up almost a million views. The former performing arts student is now being offered a role in new musical AH Men at The Point Theatre, Eastleigh. “I find it hard to believe what happened with the video. It’s like ‘wow, why me?’ I’m just a normal everyday person who happens to like dancing at bus stops,” said Cole to the Independent. “I have my headphones in every day on the way back from work and I just can’t help myself – I just dance."
