Just as we are done with Samsung Galaxy S4’s launch, rumours and leaks have begun around another much awaited Google smartphone - the LG Nexus 5. According to AndroidandMe , an anonymous tipster who claims to work for Google has sent them pictures of the LG Nexus 5, which is currently codenamed “Megalodon” and could be out in October this year. [caption id=“attachment_665431” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Reuters Reuters[/caption] The report adds that the device will have a 5.2-inch OLED Display with 1920×1080 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, clocked at 2.3 GHz, 3GB RAM, a 16MP rear camera by OmniVision and 2.1MP front camera. Like the HTC One it could have front positioned stereo speakers and of course will have LTE support. The device could also come with gesture like controls for navigation and zoom which could be similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4. LG has rolled out a Value Pack upgrade for the Optimus G Pro which is currently out in Korea. The upgrade has added features like Smart Video which recognises the position of the viewer’s eyes and automatically plays or stops the video, Dual Camera which captures images using both the front and back cameras at the same time. The LG Nexus 5 when it does come out will support all these features. But of course Google’s I/O conference will take place much before that and there’s a good chance that the new version of Android, which rumours say will be codenamed Key Lime Pie, could end up with support for all these features. Hopefully the LG Nexus 5 will be available to users unlike the Nexus 4 which has faced serious supply issues.
