Google's new Nexus 7 out in India: WiFi only version at Rs 20,999

Google’s latest tablet, the 2013 version of the Nexus 7 is out in India and the prices for this device look good. The 32 GB version of this tablet with WiFi and LTE Cellular connectivity is priced at Rs 27,999. The 32 GB WiFi only version is priced at Rs 23,999 while the 16 GB WiFi only version is priced at Rs 20,999. There is version in the 16 GB build which has both WiFi and cellular data. The new Nexus 7 screen has a better resolution than the 2012 tablet, at 1920 x 1200 pixels which amounts to 323 pixels per inch. This is a full HD screen at 1080p. The previous model had a 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution, which was 216 pixels per inch. The new Nexus 7 has a 5 megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera. It also comes with 9 hours of battery life. The previous version of the Nexus 7 had no rear camera and only came with a 1.2 megapixel front camera. It had 8 hours of battery life. The new tablet also has wireless charging built-in (it is Qi compatible which is industry standard). AP[/caption] As far as processing goes, it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, 1.5GHz processor which is quad-core and has Adreno 320, 400MHz GPU for graphics. Google’s tablet comes with 2GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB storage space but no MicroSD slot. It has GPS, Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Compass and Ambient Light. The new Nexus 7 runs Android 4.3 the latest version of Android. For now the KitKat update hasn’t been release for the tablet. As far as pricing goes, the new Nexus 7 is still slightly cheaper than the iPad mini which starts at Rs 21,600 for the 16 GB version with WiFi only.  The iPad mini 16 GB with WiFi and cellular data starts at Rs 29,900, which means you can get the 32 GB Nexus 7 with WiFi and 3G for less than the iPad mini.
