Yesterday, like many days before, Gmail users in India faced the dreadd 502 errors. This was the third Gmail outage in less than ten days. Gmail was also down on 2 and 8 May. However Google has apologised on its app status dashboard for the outage.

We will provide an update by 5/13/13 2:50 PM with more information about this problem. Thank you for your patience. [caption id=“attachment_781585” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

The errors may appear sporadic and could go away when the page is refreshed. At 2.25 pm, Google posted today, The problem with Gmail should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better.
