Update: Gmail appears to be back up for now. Tell us if you are still experiencing an issue with Gmail. Once again in less than a month Google’s Gmail service appears to be down in India with users getting 502 errors. Gmail was down three times last month on 2, 8 and 13 May. On 8 May, even Google’s Play Store had suffered an outage. Downrightnow indicates that user reports are saying Gmail is down. The Google Apps Statusboard however does not currently show a service outage or disruption for the mail service. The message on the Gmail page said, “502. That’s an error. The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds. Screengrab.[/caption] 502 errors means that two different servers involved in loading a web page (or other task) are not able to communicate properly. Let us know if you have access to Gmail. Gmail doesn’t appears to be working any of us. And here are some tweets complaining about Gmail being down.
