Remember Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode which appeared to tick off Battlegrounds publishers Bluehole a couple of weeks back? Well, the mode has surpassed 7 million players across platforms, which is no small feat. It appears that players have embarked on the bandwagon en masse, and this could end up being a very real threat to PUBG’s end-of-year Xbox One release.
Thanks to over 7 million of you who have played Fortnite! We want to keep the Battle Bus flying, so Duos and Supply Drops are available NOW. pic.twitter.com/sRx767u4aG

We don’t have a platform-wise split yet (the game is out on Xbox One, PS4 and PC), however. The Battle Royale mode really seems suited to Fortnite, and the fact that Battle Royale is completely free right now is making it rather popular.
Warframe: Plains of Eidolon goes live next week on PC
This is one massive update for sure. Canadian developer Digital Extremes has quite literally turned it up to eleven with Warframe’s Plains of Eidolon—for a free-to-play game to receive as much support and dramatic changes such as a freely explorable open world is amazing. Watch this “accolades” trailer for yourself.
I played Warframe when it first launched on PS4 and then again recently on PC, and I couldn’t believe how much the game changed with player feedback and constant improvements. Consoles are expected to receive the Plains of Eidolon update at some point in November.
GOD EATER 3 is officially a thing now
Bandai Namco has announced the next installment in the Sci-Fi Action JRPG franchise. In GOD EATER 3 players will play an elite group of heroes tasked with combating the threat of The Aragami, terrifying beasts which cause chaos wherever they go. Trailer below.
We don’t have a release date yet.
Step into the webbed feet of this horrible goose in House House’s upcoming game
If this wonderful music score, art style and douchey objectives don’t pull you in, I’m not sure if anything ever will. You start off by ruining the grounds
Well, you can expect nothing less from the creators of Push Me Pull You. Untitled Goose Game comes out in 2018.
Stranger Things: The Game is out and it’s all kinds of retro
Netflix and Bonus XP have delivered the Stranger Things tie-in we have all been waiting for.
New Rocket League DLC is Fast & Furious
Rocket League is in cahoots with Universal! The latest DLC for the game is all set to feature Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger R/T and Brian O’Conner’s Nissan GT-R R34.
The cars will each be priced at USD 1.99 (or regional equivalent), and each car comes with its own engine audio and decals. Can you think of a better way to showcase these vehicles other than fake soccer with giant footballs and unappreciated assists?
Deals and more
Exclusives appear to be heavily discounted on the PlayStation store this week. You can get your hands on Ratchet & Clank for Rs 1,498, which is nearly half off, or David Cage’s Heavy Rain and BEYOND: Two Souls bundle for Rs 1,499 (45 percent off). There’s also an opportunity to revisit God of War III—the remastered edition is a mere Rs 1,082. And if for some reason you passed on playing one of the year’s best games, Horizon Zero Dawn’s Digital Deluxe Edition is 38 percent off at Rs 2,750.
With the Formula 1 season drawing to a close, you might want to get in on the action. The PS4 version of F1 2017 is cheaper by a third right now.
If you’re in the mood for some unjustifiably poor discounts, head over to the Call of Duty franchise sale on Steam, where games over ten years old are barely discounted. There’s an Iceberg Interactive sale where you can get open world starship game Star Point Gemini Warlords at 50 percent off. And if Bullet Hell games are your thing, Enter The Gungeon is half off also.
On Xbox One, there are some great deals if you have a Gold subscription, including 67 percent off on Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, 50 percent off BioShock: The Collection, and 60 percent off Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.
