Pokémon GO Plus is a dedicated wearable for trainers to easily catch Pokémon

Pokémon GO Plus has been teased by Niantic since the launch of the App . The wearable appeared in the YouTube advertisement for the game and a September launch was announced at E3. The device has been launched on September 16, and is available in limited quantities in some markets. They can be purchased from select retailers, including Nintendo stores, and it is unclear if there will be more production runs, and if the device will be available in more markets. https://twitter.com/PokemonGoApp/status/773726589968416769 The wearable can be pinned on to clothes, attached to bags, used as a keychain or strapped on to the hand. It is a $35 device (roughly Rs 2,343) that allows trainers to play the Pokémon GO game without having to keep their smartphones open all the time. The wearable pairs with compatible devices over Bluetooth low energy. There is an LED interface, with four colours that indicate various scenarios. When a trainer comes across a Pokéstop, the light on the wearable glows blue. Pressing the button harvests the resources at that Pokéstop.  If there is a previously caught Pokémon, the device glows green. Pressing the button throws a ball, and attempts to catch the Pokémon. If the Pokémon is caught, all four colours start blinking randomly. If the Pokémon gets away, there is only the red button flashing. If a yellow button flashes, it means that a previously uncaught Pokémon is around. It is better to use the smartphone to attempt to catch the Pokémon at this point. The wearable does not allow you to use razz berries to make the Pokémon easier to catch, or switch out to more powerful balls. There is only one attempt given for catching a Pokémon.  When encountering a stop or a Pokémon, both the device and the phone will vibrate at the same time. Additionally, the Pokémon GO Plus has some features that were not mentioned on the official site or at E3. The wearable tracks the distance walked to hatch eggs, as well as the distance walked with a Pokémon buddy, a newly released feature . This is especially convenient for trainers, as it is no longer necessary to open the phone, launch the game, and hold it in your hands while walking to hatch eggs, or to clock kilometers on a buddy. This is typical of Niantic to include features in the game and not announce it, there are apparently still many secrets in the game waiting to be discovered by trainers.  The connections apparently keep dropping. The problem affects Android phones across makes and models. According to a report in Gamenguide, the device was so popular that it sold out on the first day itself. Gamerant reports that Android users are experiencing problems with pairing the device. The device is compatible with iPhone 5 or later models. Android devices running 4.4 to 6.0 versions of the OS are supported. 2 GB of RAM, and Bluetooth version 4.0 or higher are the other minimum requirements for Android devices.  At the 7 September Apple event, a companion app for Pokémon GO was announced for the Apple Watch . The functionality of the two wearables are different, notably, the Plus allows trainers to actually catch Pokémon, something the Watch version will not allow. Pokémon GO was updated to make compatibility with the Plus better. The Android version is now 0.37.1 and the iOS version is 1.7.1. Just before the launch of the Plus, Niantic posted a blog thanking gamers for their enthusiastic support, as well as promising a string of announcements as the game continues to be improved. One of these was that Niantic was working hard on bringing the game to more markets, and it for the first time acknowledged that fans have been clamouring for a launch in India.
