Loop Mania makes going around in circles fun

Loop Mania by Umbrella Games is a twitchy pick up and play title with one touch controls. You are a circle going around a circular track. There are enemy circles going around at different speeds on the same track. If you come in contact with them from the front or back, you will be destroyed and the game ends. To continue playing, you have to jump at the right time to avoid contact with any of the other titles. Leaping to the other side is a way to avoid enemies, but the same action can be used to kill them as well. Land on the circles directly after a jump, and the enemies get blasted. Be careful though, if you miss time the jump, and bump into an enemy circle from the side instead of directly hitting them, you die instead. You gain bonus points for going round and round the circle without leaping, which is difficult to do. You have to nervously watch the screen, do nothing, and hope nothing bumps into you to achieve this.

Another way to get bonus points is to chain leaps rapidly, and get kill streaks. You have to do a rapid series of successive jumps, and get a kill on each jump. It gets fast paced pretty quickly. This is a casual title, but not so easy. Bushnell’s law applies to this game, it is easy to pick up but hard to master. Those who liked tougher mobile titles such as Super Hexagon or Flappy Bird will like this. The music is fun and edgy. The visuals are very basic, but there is a lot happening on the screen. You are always at the edge of control. Tracking the different moving objects at once can overload your brain. There is no energy mechanic or time sink. There are no consumables. The only IAP is an option to permanently get rid of ads for $1. If the ads do not bother you, this game can be played for free.
