At least one major developer is working on a VR ready game for, wait for it, the Xbox One! The game will reportedly be demoed at E3 2016.

The report, first published by ArsTechnica is as good as confirmation that Microsoft is working on a VR ready Xbox One. The game is apparently slated for 2017, which should indicate the time-frame that Microsoft is working with.

As you well know by now, the current generation Xbox One is absolutely no use when it comes to VR, especially when it’s desperately struggling to even push 1080p in most games. Sony’s PS4 is also not ready for VR of course, which is why they’re working on an upgraded version —which will probably be unveiled at E3 2016 as well.

We don’t know whether Microsoft, like Sony , will be working on its own VR headset or whether the Xbox One will simply be compatible with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The latter seems more likely, but this will also mean that Sony will have the edge with a cheaper VR headset.

There are rumours that we’ll see a slimmer Xbox One and Xbox TV hardware from Microsoft, at E3 2016. None of those tipsters are as confident about a VR-ready Xbox One as they are about Sony’S PSVR though.
