Dell unveils its G Series lineup of 'affordable' laptops with 8th gen Intel processors and NVIDIA GTX 10 series GPU

The Dell G Series are affordable gaming laptops with high-end processors and GPUs. The starting price of the Dell G3 is $749.

Dell on 3 April unveiled an 'affordable' gaming laptop lineup and it is called the G Series. While Dell's premium gaming laptop lineup by Alienware could be considered quite heavy on the pocket, the G Series Dell G3, G5, and G7 have been given reasonable pricetags considering they are gaming laptops.

The G3 has two variants, namely the 15-inch screen and 17-inch screen. The laptop has been priced starting from $749 (approx Rs 49,000) and $799 (approx Rs 52,000). Dell says that the G3 is its thinnest gaming laptop to date and will come in three colour variants of Black, Recon Blue, and Alpine White.

Both the G3 variants will be powered by the 8th Gen Intel processors up to Core i7. Along with this, they have the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 as the GPU with an option to upgrade to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and dual HDD + SSD storage options. The G3 also has 2x2 Wi-Fi antenna design which Dell claims can provide great wireless performance.

For those with a higher budget, Dell is offering the G5 and G7 15 which starts at $799 (approx Rs 52,000) and $849 (approx Rs 52,000) respectively. The G5 is also powered by Intel 8th Gen processors up to Core i7 SKU, however, the G7 15 has an Intel Core i9 variant as well. On the graphics side, the G5 and the G7 17 have the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPUs with Max-Q design technology.

The G7 15 will additionally also have a 4K UHD display variant which will be available starting from April. The G5 15 is available in either Standard Black or Beijing Red flavours, and the Dell G7 15 is available in either Standard Black or Alpine White.

The laptops have only been announced in the US, China, and Europe markets as of now. We are not sure whether or not Dell will bring the G Series to India or not.
