Rather than show off a boring laptop or some incremental updates to its PC lineup, ASUS unveiled a couple of interesting RGB lighting accessories. They’re called ROG Aura Terminal and Spotlight.
ROG Aura Terminal

The ROG Terminal will sync RGB lighting effects with your screen
If you remember the Phillips Ambilight stuff that was popular several years ago, the Aura Terminal can be thought of as a gaming variant of that.
ASUS rather unimaginatively describes it as a “quad-channel addressable RGB controller”. Essentially, you hook up RGB lighting strips to the back of your monitor and then into the controller box. Software then determines the colours at the edges of your display and adjusts the LED lighting to match. The box can control four strips with 30 LEDs each and can thus individually control 120 LEDs.
This could be the Phillips Hue of the gaming world.
ROG Spotlight
If you really, truly, absolutely love ASUS to the extent that you live and breathe their products, this ROG Spotlight will be a gift from the Gods!

Why would you want to project an ASUS ROG logo on your rig?
As the name suggests, the ROG Spotlight is quite literally a spotlight. All it does is project an ASUS ROG logo onto any surface. Yes, you read that right. This is not a webcam or a multi-purpose projector. It exists for no other purpose than to project an ROG logo.
The fact that ASUS even made this device does seem a bit…egocentric. But hey, for a true fan, shame is no barrier!
The Spotlight can be paired with the Aura Terminal for some sort of synchronised lighting effects.
