India's motoring event the Auto Expo 2018 is just around the corner and anticipations are high among motoring enthusiasts. Tata Motors' much-awaited sports car, the Tamo Racemo is now also on the list and is expected to be on display alongside some sporty offerings from automaker. The car was first unveiled at 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
A report by Autocar mentions that the company will bring its sports car to the event. It will be showcased at the Tata's 'Performance Zone'. The Tamo Racemo comes with 1.2-litre, 190 hp, turbo-petrol engine. The sports car won the German Design Award in the Gold category for International Excellence in ‘Exceptional Product Design’ in October, 2017.
The Indian automotive manufacturer will also display sportier versions of the Tiago hatchback and Tigor sedan at its 'Performance Zone'. According to the report these vehicles are expected to be powered by the same engine seen on the Tata Nexon. The vehicles comes with 110 hp, 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol engine which is mated to six-speed manual gearbox. The sportier version of the Tiago and Tigor are expected to come with sporty body kit along with a lowered and revised suspension kit.
Tata Motors collaborated with Jayem Automotives in 2017 to bring new vehicles and Auto Expo 2018 will showcase the vehicles manufactured through the joint venture. Two expected outcomes of the partnerships Tiago Sport and Tigor Sport are expected to be showcased at the event.
The company has already teased the new models which are also said the be based on the new Impact Design 2.0 philosophy of the company. There is no information on the price and sale of these vehicles, which might be announced during or after the event.
