According to a 2023 survey by Fortune, around 40 per cent of workers familiar with AI tools like ChatGPT fear they could be replaced by such technologies. Younger workers, especially Gen Z, are even more anxious, with 62 per cent believing AI could take over their jobs in the next decade.
Huang acknowledges these concerns but remains steadfast in his belief that AI will not be the job killer that some fear. Instead, he envisions a future where humans work alongside AI, using the technology to amplify their own abilities. For Huang, the key is to view AI as an enabler of human potential, not a competitor.
