Cheaper iPhone 5 'Lite' to have 8 megapixel camera: report

Wondering what to expect in the rumoured iPhone 5 ‘Lite’? A camera on par with its more expensive version may be a certainity. According to a report in Apple Insider , the cheaper version of the iPhone which the media has dubbed as the iPhone 5C/ ‘iPhone 5 lite’ is likely to come with an eight megapixel camera. The report states that a picture of supposed “iPhone 5 Lite” or “iPhone 5C” rear camera was published on Thursday on Chinese site IT168. You can check out the Chinese report here. According to MacRumors , the Chinese website report states that the lens component has the same sapphire crystal-covered camera found in the iPhone 5. If Apple Insider is to be believed the camera lens isn’t the only thing common between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C lite. The report states that the"iPhone Lite" could have the same A6 processor and 1 GB RAM as the current iPhone 5. The existence of the cheaper iPhone was also confirmed by a China Labor Watch report which criticised the labour practices of the one of Apple’s suppliers Pegatron. The report noted: At this moment, in Shanghai, China, workers in Apple’s supplier factory Pegatron are monotonously working long overtime hours to turn out a scaled-back, less expensive version of the iPhone.  (For more details on the report click here )  If the latest rumours are true, the ‘iPhone 5 lite’ doesn’t appear to be drastically different from the iPhone 5 except that it may come at a cheaper price.
