Following the footsteps of Apple and Samsung, BlackBerry too has announced the introduction of new EMI Schemes for its flagship device the BlackBerry Z10 and for its older BlackBerry Curve 9220 smartphones in India.

Following the footsteps of Apple and Samsung, BlackBerry too has announced the introduction of new EMI Schemes for its flagship device the BlackBerry Z10 and for its older BlackBerry Curve 9220 smartphones in India. For BlackBerry Z10, customers can get the smartphone with zero-down payment, 0 percent processing fee and 0 percent interest with a monthly EMI of  4799 for 9 months. The offer is valid only thorugh credit cards issued by Axis Bank, Citibank, HDFC bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Kotak, SBI and Standard Chartered. BlackBerry Curve 9220 customers can use their credit card to buy the device and pay a 12-month EMI of Rs 799, again with zero interest or processing fee. AP[/caption] The BlackBerry Z10 when it was launched in India was priced at Rs 43,490, which had led to many people taking to Twitter and slamming the high price of the smartphone. Currently the smartphone is available for Rs 42,490 on Flipkart  and Infibeam. Previously,  BlackBerry CEO Thorstein Heins had said that he was surprised by how well the smartphone had done in India, and that the phone was sold out within two days of the launch. Heins did not reveal an India specific number though. The Z10 runs BlackBerry’s latest BlackBerry 10 OS and has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It has 2GB RAM with  16GB internal storage space. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel camera in the front.
