BlackBerry Q10 up for pre-order online, no word on official India release yet

BlackBerry Q10 is now available for pre-order on Snapdeal for Rs 1000. However the site says that the device is expected to be launched in the fourth week of May but the official date and price are not yet confirmed. The BlackBerry Q10 runs the latest BlackBerry 10 OS and has a touchscreen plus a QWERTY keyboard. The device when it was launched in the UK was priced at a whopping £579 for an unlocked version of the phone which is nearly Rs 48,600 when converted. Biztech2.com editor Ivor Soans had noted in an earlier article on Firstpost , The Q10 is also seen as a premium smartphone as it is the successor to the Bold 9900 which was BlackBerry’s flagship till the Z10 was launched. So it’s highly unlikely that this device will cost under Rs 20,000. Key features of the device include a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard. It comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM and 16GB mass memory, expandable to 64GB via micro-SD slot. The device will support LTE. It has an eight-megapixel rear camera and a front facing camera as well.
