BlackBerry has launched its latest device, the Z30, which the company is touting as its “biggest, fastest and most advanced smartphone”.
The phone features a 5 inch touchscreen with AMOLED display, a larger battery which the company says will provide longer life, a 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. The company has not specified the storage capacity of the phone, but has mentioned that it comes with a SD card slot.
The Z30 runs on BlackBerry’s newest Operating System, 10.2 and comes preinstalled with apps like Documents To Go.
Some of its other features are:
BlackBerry(R) Priority Hub - This helps manage all your conversations and notifications. The Hub can learn what conversations and what people are important to you, making it fast and easy to find the messages and information you need. It collects priority messages across your email, social networking and other accounts and gives you instant access to these conversations.
Upgraded BBM: You can now get a preview of any message as it arrives in whatever app you’re using, and immediately dismiss it or tap it to read the full content and respond. If a BBM message arrives, you can instantly reply to the message without leaving the app you’re in.
In addition, if your phone is locked, you can tap the various icons on the Lock Screen to see an instant preview of your most recent messages and notifications.
Stereo Audio and BlackBerry(R) Natural Sound - BlackBerry Natural Sound is new technology that the company says is exclusive to BlackBerry and part of the BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.
New Antenna Technology - New generation antenna technology dynamically tunes reception to give you better connectivity in low signal areas. The company says that this also can give you faster data transfers and fewer dropped calls in low signal areas, keeping you connected in more places.
