Harrier has been tested for 2.2 million kms from -10 to 50 degrees Celsius. Has been crash tested in 300+ simulations in Tata Motors' own plant.

Tata Harrier Infotainment system
The SUV also gets an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with eight JBL speakers and a subwoofer. The infotainment system currently does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto but Tata claims to make it available soon after launch.

There are three driving modes on offer here – Eco, City and Sport, depending on the terrain you’re on. Despite having a front wheel drive system, you do get terrain response modes here with normal, wet and rough modes to select from.

When it comes to price, the Harrier is expected to range between Rs 16 – 21 lakhs on road and will take on Mahindra XUV 500, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Creta.

Tata Harrier inside look
Taking centrestage in the cabin, is a floating 8.8-inch touchscreen. The top of the dashboard is covered in soft touch plastic, followed by a textured wood finish, and further down there’s a perforated leather-wrapped cavity to stow knick-knacks.

Tata Harrier wheelbase and dimensions
Viewed in profile, the Harrier’s length stands out. It’s a big SUV! Dimensions come in at 4,598×1,894×1,706mm (LxWxH), which makes it a good bit larger than the Jeep Compass, a rival it has a square in its sights. The car also has a 2,741 mm wheelbase.
Tata Harrier Engine
Powering the Harrier is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, dubbed Kryotec by Tata Motors. Power figures stand at 140PS and 350Nm torque, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
