Apple’s got a new trick up its sleeve with Apple Invites, an app designed to help you organise events without all the usual hassle. This fresh addition to iPhones lets you create personalised invitations, track RSVPs, set up shared photo albums, and even attach a playlist to hype up your guests before the big day. Whether it’s a birthday bash or a chill get-together, Apple Invites pulls all your event needs into one tidy little package.

The app is available for free on the App Store for anyone with iOS 18 or later. And if you’ve got friends who aren’t on Apple, no worries—they can still access invites through a web version at iCloud. Also, do keep in mind that you need to have an iCloud+ subscription to start sending out invites.

Get started with simple, customised invites

Once you download the app, it’s super easy to get rolling. Pick a background for your invite—Apple offers a bunch of curated themes, but you can also use a photo from your library. Next, fill in the details: event name, date, time, location, and anything else you need. The app practically holds your hand through the whole process, so even if you’re not tech-savvy, you’re good to go.

Before sending it out, you can preview the invite to make sure it’s just right. Sharing is simple too—send it via Messages, email, or copy the link and drop it on any platform you like. Your Android friends won’t be left out either. They can view the invite online, though they’ll need to create an Apple account if they want to RSVP or fully interact with the invite.

Keeping things organised, all in one place

Apple Invites isn’t just about sending a pretty card; it’s designed to handle everything that makes event planning a headache. One of the coolest features is the shared event album. After the event, you won’t have to chase people for photos—they can upload them straight to the invite’s album, so you’ll have all the memories in one spot.

If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, you can take things up a notch with a collaborative playlist. Imagine sending your guests a sneak peek of the event’s vibe—whether it’s mellow tunes for a laid-back evening or dance tracks for a party. You can customise even more by choosing from different fonts, setting event reminders, and managing guest RSVPs.

Speaking of RSVPs, you’re in control. You can approve who’s attending, and confirmed guests are neatly added to your list. If you’re juggling multiple events, the app organises everything for you—upcoming events, past gatherings, saved drafts, and even invites for events you’ve been invited to. No more digging through texts to figure out what’s next.

A touch of AI to help you shine

Apple Invites also uses Apple Intelligence to add an extra bit of magic to your invites. The Image Playground lets you create unique designs using images and concepts from your photo library. And if you’re struggling to come up with the perfect wording, the app’s Writing Tools can give you suggestions to match the mood.

It doesn’t stop there. The app integrates with Maps and Weather, so guests get directions and a forecast for the event. Whether it’s sunny skies or a chance of rain, everyone can plan ahead, making it easier to show up on time and ready to party.

The Apple vs Android dilemma

Let’s be real—this app works best if you’re all-in on the Apple ecosystem. iPhone users get full access to features like shared albums, RSVPs, and playlists without any extra fuss. For Android users, it’s a bit more limited. They can view the invite and basic details through the web version, but they’ll need an Apple account to RSVP or interact fully with the event.

That said, even iPhone users without the app installed might have to log in via iCloud to respond to an invite. But since most Apple users already have an iCloud account, it’s not a huge deal.

A fresh new way to organise parties and events

For years, we’ve been stuck managing events the hard way—creating WhatsApp groups, dumping all the info there, and praying people actually read it. Let’s be honest, it’s chaotic, and finding RSVPs or photos later is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Apple Invites changes that by giving you a neat, centralised way to plan and manage events. Everything’s organised, easy to access, and—dare I say—actually fun to use.

Apple Invites is available now on the App Store for iPhones running iOS 18 or later. You can also access the invites online on iCloud. While some features might not be available everywhere, the app is set to become a go-to tool for anyone who loves hosting or attending a lot of events.

Whether it’s a wedding, a party, or a simple hangout, Apple Invites takes the stress out of planning and makes sure everyone’s on the same page. So go ahead—get creative, stay organised, and start planning your next event in style.
