Acer today unveiled the Liquid E2 smartphone with a quad-core processor and Android 4.1 version of Jelly Bean. This is the third smartphone Acer has launched this year, the first two being Acer Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2. Liquid E2 is the first Acer quad-core phone clocked at 1.2 GHz and has there will be dual-SIM version of the device as well. The smartphone supports HSPA+ (up to 42 Mbps) data connection as well, along with WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0. Other key features include: • A zero shutter delay 8 megapixel camera. Acer claims users can take up to 8 pictures per second just by holding down the camera softkey. The camera is also capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 fps. The front camera is 2 megapixel. • It has a 4.5-inch qHD display with IPS. • The device also feature a dual-speaker system and DTS Sound™ for enhanced audio. The Acer Liquid E2 will be available in Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, followed by Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and Russia starting from mid-May at a suggested price of €229. The Acer Liquid E2 will be available in two colours: Rock Black and Classic White.
