• 6 years agoPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met Jamia Millia Islamia vice-chancellor Najma Akhtar and assured her of all assistance in setting up a medical college-cum-hospital. Akhtar sought a special grant-in-aid for the centenary celebrations of the institution that will happen next year. Akhtar called on President and Visitor of the University, Ram Nath Kovind on 1 July and apprised him of the steps taken for improving academic and research activities in the university.
