'Weakened' Cyclone Vayu likely to hit coasts of Gujarat's Saurashtra and Kutch by tomorrow evening, says IMD

In a tweet, Gujarat Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar had said the rainfall activity due to Cyclone Vayu is set to decrease along the coast and the interior parts of the state, while the western parts will continue to receive light to moderate rains.

At 7.30 pm on Thursday, the IMD said Cyclone Vayu is very likely to move north-northwestwards for some time and then northwestwards, skirting the Saurashtra coast, affecting Gir Somnath, Diu, Junagarh, Porbandar and Devbhoomi Dwarka during the next 12 hours.
