US shutdown no big deal, expect bigger crisis on 17 October

If the debt ceiling is not raised the American government will have to stop borrowing and start cutting its expenditure. Given this, the Republicans and the Democrats need to start talking pretty soon, or we will have another crisis on our hands pretty soon.
