Govt plans double decker luxury public transport buses in five routes from Delhi, to run on alternative fuels

The government is looking to revamp public transport through introduction of double decker luxury buses run on alternative fuels, with an aim to curb private vehicle use, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday

Mumbai is planning a Metro 3, which will not really address the needs of Mumbai's suburban commuters. What Mumbai needs is a ferry service as in Hongkong. A island city must use the water for transport.
