Suja Jones Mazurier, wife of a French consular official who allegedly raped his three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, today filed an application in a court here pressing for charging the accused for committing unnatural offences to the victim.
The bail plea of French national Pascal Mazurier has been adjourned to 26 July by a court in Bangalore.
Suja Jones Mazurier is a rare parent who reported her husband's alleged rape to the authorities. In most cases, norms of the Indian family make it impossible to raise the issue even within the home.
The mother of the child has sought the Prime Minister's intervention to ensure police investigations against her husband, a French consulate official, continue.
