Promoter firm Bharti Telecom has sold 2.75 percent stake in Airtel to institutional investors in the secondary market, raising over Rs 8,433 crore, the company said on Tuesday

Bharti Telecom holds around 41 percent stake in Bharti Airtel, while foreign promoter entities own 21.46 percent stake in the telecom firm. Public shareholders have around 37 percent stake in the company.

It is to be noted that share buybacks accounted for 56.5 percent of the tech firm promoters' cash earnings during the three-year period, said the report.
