Firstpost Videos Desk • 25 days agoDuring a session at the Raisina Dialogue 2026, Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, accused China of persistent bullying. He highlighted the challenges faced by Filipino fishermen who venture into Chinese-controlled waters. "Even if we face bullying from China every day, we have our fishermen who go to their catchment areas," he said. Speaking to Rudra Chaudhuri, Vice President of ORF, India, Gen. Brawner Jr. accused China of infiltrating Philippine borders in the early 1990s. He claimed that China built artificial islands in the region under the pretext of creating bases for fishermen. Addressing new-age threats, the Chief of Staff emphasised the rising cybersecurity challenges and the strategies to counter them. "We have to defend the entire archipelago of Philippines. We now have cyber command, civil military command, strategic intelligence command, and strategic command," he said.
