The idea for a modular smartphone is not new. But interest in the same died out as Apple showed the consumer (and the industry) that the iPhone was the way to go.
After the Moto X force, Lenovo-owned Motorola is reportedly going to bring it's second shatterproof smartphone which could be named the Moto X4 (or the Moto X 2016). The device is expected to be unveiled in August this year.
The next Moto X is coming, and it is believed to be decked up in all metal. So, prolific and once-retired tipster Evleaks as well as HelloMotoHK have posted pictures of the upcoming device.
A device tagged as the Motorola XT1650 showed up on benchmarking website Geekbench shedding some light on a smartphone that has so far, only leaked out in a live image.
While Motorola's flagship smartphone scene seems confused at best with Motorola X Style and Moto X Force fighting for the top spot, 2016 may be a better year. The first leaks about the company's upcoming 2016 flagship seems to have already popped up online.
