The Winter Session of Parliament opened on Wednesday with a united Opposition mounting an assault on the government over demonetisation, saying it had led to "economic anarchy" in the country and alleged selective leak of the information before the announcement which should be probed by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).

Lok Sabha session not prorogued, could be reconvened: Kamal Nath

An indication to this effect was available with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath today insisting that the winter session has not been prorogued and only adjourned sine die and could be convened at a short notice.
