Fire affects at least 25 godowns containing plastic and rubber in Maharashtra’s Thane; no casualties reported
A fire destroyed at least 25 godowns, where plastic and rubber material were stored, at a village in Thane district of Maharashtra in the wee hours of Monday, officials said.
The incident happened Monday morning in Rahanal village in Bhiwandi township here and four fire engines had to be deployed to douse the flames, Datta Salvi, Chief Fire Officer, Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation, said.
A man was killed and another injured after a fire broke out at a godown in north Delhi's Mori Gate, police said on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Rajender (40) and the injured was identified as Yogesh (24), they said.
