FIH Pro League: Indian men’s hockey team returns to top level competition after a year against Argentina
India played their last FIH Hockey Pro League match against Australia in February last year in Bhubaneswar.
Compared to Argentina, India have played more games since hockey resumed post the coronavirus-induced stoppage and also got time to rectify issues and work on their game.

Having secured his place in the side for his first overseas tour since 2019 when India travelled to Belgium, the lanky defender is desperate to make up for the lost opportunities in the crucial Olympic year.
In the next leg of FIH Hockey Pro League matches, India is scheduled to play against Argentina in April, Britain, Spain and Germany in May.
The FIH further said it will keep monitoring the global health situation closely and come out with new dates for these matches after consultation with the stakeholders.
