Former Shiv Sena corporator Shrikant Pangarkar, arrested in connection with the seizure of explosives and arms in Maharashtra, was remanded on Monday to the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) custody till 28 August by a Mumbai court.
A special National Investigative Agency (NIA) court on Friday convicted five Indian Mujahideen militants in the 2013 Bodh Gaya serial blasts case in which several persons including Buddhist monks were injured.
The Devi temple at Puttingal had conducted fireworks displays that caused the biggest fireworks related accident in Kerala on Sunday night without permission from the authorities. The accident happened towards the end of the pyrotechnic displays which were canvassed on a competitive basis
