Battle of alliances: BJP keeps NDA allies in good books with ‘generous’ seat-sharing deals for Lok Sabha election

Having firmed up alliances in several key states for the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP has taken an early lead over its rivals, including the Congress, for an election where every single percentage point of votes brought in by small partners can have significant bearing on final results.

Lok Sabha election dates are out, but pollsters would do well to rein in predictions; a lot can change before 11 April
