A year into lockdown, migrant labourers in Gurgaon continue to struggle without work

Some 500 odd migrant workers have been assembling at various chowks in Gurgaon for the past nine months, looking for work. With dwindling savings and no hopes for a job, many of them are now preparing to go back to their homes.

India records spike of 47,262 new COVID-19 cases; tally climbs to 1,17,34,058

The daily rise in infections was the highest in 132 days. The toll increased to 1,60,441, with 275 new fatalities, the highest in around 83 days.
