The Consortium of Indian Petroleum Dealers (CIPD), representing 56,000 fuel outlets in the country, has called for a 20-minute shutdown of fuel stations at 7 pm on Wednesday in memory of the 40 CRPF personnel killed as a result of a terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir
The move is being implemented to support its various demands with the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), including a hike in dealer margins which were not revised since 2011, and other long-pending issues.
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation trustees had approved 8.65 percent rate on EPF in December last year.
