Lok Sabha member from Tripura and former rural development and industries minister Jitendra Chaudhury raised the issue in the Lok Sabha Friday and demanded their immediate repatriation to Mizoram. About 35,000 Reang tribals are sheltered in seven camps located in north Tripura for 17 years after they fled their villages in western Mizoram following clashes with the majority Mizos over the killing of a Mizo forest official.

President commends Central University of Kerala

This university had braved the initial limitations of infrastructure and support facilities to start its academic activities with two post-graduate programmes, said Mukherjee, who was the chief guest at the first convocation of the university. "It is commendable that within two years of receiving this permanent site for a campus, this institution has succeeded in creating the essential minimum infrastructure to shift five academic departments and the administrative wing," he said.
Government defends Ramasundram's appointment to CBI
