Delhi maid's murder: Court rejects BSP MP's bail plea

A Delhi court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) parliamentarian Dhananjay Singh, accused of destroying evidence to shield his wife, arrested for torturing her maid leading to her death. The court also directed Delhi Police to provide protection to the witnesses.

Maid torture: Court remands BSP MP, wife to four-day judicial custody

BSP MP Dhananjay Singh and his wife Jagriti, arrested in connection with the murder of their maid, were today remanded to four-day judicial custody by a court here after the Delhi Police said they are waiting for some reports and will confront the accused with them later.

Jagriti Singh's maid's murder: Police probe trafficking angles

The Delhi Police is looking at human trafficking angle in the murder of Rakhi, employed at the Delhi house of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) parliamentarian Dhananjay Singh. Police is looking for a person, Dev Kumar, who brought Rakhi, 35, and another maid Meena, 48, here from West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, around a year ago. Meena had also worked in the house where Rakhi was tortured to death by the MP's wife, Jagriti Singh.

Maid's murder: Accused BSP MP, wife get VIP treatment in custody

BSP parliament member Dhananjay Singh and his doctor wife Jagriti, arrested following the murder of their maid, are getting VIP treatment in police custody, police sources said on Thursday.
