Unauthorised drones cause delays and diversions of flights at Singapore Airport, again; 38 air transports were affected last week
Flight operations at the busy Changi Airport, Singapore was hit due to unauthorised drone activities. The Civil Aviation Authorities of Singapore said that approximately 15 departures and three arrivals were delayed, while seven flights were diverted. Last week, 38 flights were affected when drones were sighted in the vicinity of the airport.
Indonesia has a poor aviation safety record and has experienced several air disasters recently. But Indonesia's police insisted today that the plane was in good condition and the pilot was experienced.
About 90 people were on the boat, which capsized off the Indonesian island of Batam at about 5 am, said the island's police chief, Sambudi Gusdian. He said searchers had so far rescued 39 people.
