According to BSNL chairman and managing director P K Purwar, over 77,000 out of around 1.6 lakh employees of the loss-making telecom firm have opted for VRS.
A comprehensive proposal for revival of BSNL has been prepared, which will be taken up for consideration by competent authorities very soon, the ministry of communications said in a statement.
