US-based outsourcing firm iGATE has been slapped with yet another sexual harassment suit by an ex-employee, claiming that she was sexually abused by the firm's Legal Head and her supervisor.
Former iGate's CEO, Phaneesh Murthy, who was sacked in May on sexual assault charges, has filed a defamation and breach of contract case against the company.
Forbes interviewed Phaneesh Murthy a day after he was sacked from iGate. Here are excerpts from the interview:
If the three can't thrash out an out of court settlement, the sexual harassment case is likely to result in long litigation in the full glare of the media.
Murthy told the iGate board of his relationship with Roiz only after she informed him that she will be taking legal action against him, says Roiz's lawyer
Speaking at an analyst concall, Murthy denied the allegations and claimed he had support from some of the iGate staff.
