The airline's Indian arm is a 4-year-old joint venture between Tata Sons Ltd and AirAsia Berhad, which operates to 165 destinations across 25 countries.
A Malaysia-bound AirAsia X plane which took off from Sydney ended up in Melbourne instead after the pilot entered the aircraft's wrong longitudinal position, safety officials revealed Wednesday.
Malaysian-based AirAsia X said in a statement late Tuesday that deliveries will take place between 2018 and 2024.
The airline stopped flying to London, Paris and some Indian cities last year due to increasing taxes and higher jet fuel prices.
